Donation Opportunities

Village Funding

Independence Village Funding

Independence Village relies on private support through grants, individual and corporate donations and charitable foundations. These gifts allow us to continue our mission of helping our residents find their VOICE, and empowers opportunities to learn, work, connect.

Independence Village receives no government funding in its mission of providing affordable lifetime care to residents with mental and physical disabilities. We receive support from a dedicated group of businesses, in kind donations and proceeds from our fund raising activities.

Donation

Your donations help keep our housing cost lower by covering the gap between what it cost to live at Independence Village and the amount each resident is required to pay.

There are many ways to support Independence Village and welcome and need your time and resources.

  • Gift Donation

  • Donation to the Independence Village Endowment fund

Village Gift Fund*

Donations will be specified as unrestricted and will be used for the most critical needs of Independence Village and its residents.

Independence Village Endowment Fund*

The Independence Village Endowment Fund was set up to provide additional income to help fund resident tuition. Obtaining additional endowment funds will allow Independence Village to fulfill its goal of offering affordable residential care for individuals with intellectual and/or physical disabilities and guarantee the long-term operation of the facility with the goal of helping cover a portion of the projected operating expenses from the investment proceeds.

Capital Improvements Funding*

Independence Village is constantly changing and improving. This improvement comes at a cost. We are accepting capital improvement donations to purchase items that are in need to outfit the building, kitchen and outside grounds.

Memorial or Honorary Giving*

Honor a loved one or treat a friend to a special birthday gift with a donation to Independence Village. We have several options to choose from to make that special person even more honored.
